Dark Side of the Moonshine is a Pink Floyd tribute band built on precision, discipline, and a deep respect for the music. Alex Heflin & The Moot Point is a dynamic fusion of funk and jazz, born from Heflin’s 2020 solo album Room for Everyone. What began as a “moot point” quickly evolved into a vibrant ensemble featuring Alex Heflin on tenor guitar, Jonah Henthorne on drums, Ryan Quickel on keys, and Mason Atha on bass. Their repertoire consists of Heflin’s originals and an eclectic mix of funk, jazz, and other idioms. For fans of Goose, Vulfpeck, Snarky Puppy, or Medeski Martin & Wood, this band offers an irresistible invitation to groove and revel in reckless rhythm.
